The meeting was held in the
Phyhsikzentrum Bad Honnef near Bonn, Germany. This is is a conference center of the German Physical Society, the largest physical society in the world. The Physikzentrum is known for its stimulating atmosphere for meetings with between 50 and 100 participants. You can get an impression of the atmosphere by checking these

The Bonn area can be reached by train, plane, car, or even by boat if you are coming along the Rhine river. Being the former capital of Germany, Bonn is a lively university town with a broad range of cultural activites.
The Physikzentrum can be easily reached via tram from the main station in Bonn or the
Köln-Bonn airport in about 1/2 hour.
The easiest way to reach the Physikzentrum is by (local) train and tramway. The best way to find your connection is to use the
query web page of Deutsche Bahn (German Railways):

In the "Start" field enter e.g. "Köln/Bonn Flughafen" or "Frankfurt(Main)Flugh" for the airports in Cologne or Frankfurt, or any other city.
In the "Destination" field you should enter eitherFrom the tram station "Bad Honnef Am Spitzenbach" it is a 5 minutes walk to the Physikzentrum.
From "Rhöndorf Bahnhof, Bad Honnef" (a bit more than 1 km north of the Physikzentrum) you can also walk to the Physikzentrum. This takes some 10 minutes.
If you cannot or do not want to walk it is probably the best option to take "Bad Honnef(Rhein)" as your destination. This is about 1.5 km South of the Phsyikzentrum). At that station you will find taxis which should take you to the Physikzentrum in some 5 minutes (for some 5-10 EUR).
For those of you who stay in the
Hotel Avendi, it is just a 5 minutes walk along the Hauptstrasse to the Physikzentrum.
