SUMER study #228: Scans in O III, Si IV, He I

Disk center in Si IV (left) and He I (right, approx. 2 h later)
- date, time: 02.May.96, 22:06 - 22:56, 03.May.96, 00:51 - 01:57
- field of view: 349 - 50 arcsec E, 100 arcsec S - 200 arcsec N
- slit: 1.0 arcsec x 300 arcsec (number 2)
- raster step size: 0.75 arcsec (2 elementary steps)
- exposure time: 7.5, 10 seconds
- telemetry: 3*396 images of 4 "spectral" x 360 spatial pixels (format 43)
- compression: gauss_b4 (method 12)
- wavelengths:
1407.39 Å on reference pixel 384 of Detector A (first scan)
1393.76 Å on reference pixel 702 of Detector A (first scan)
584.300 Å on reference pixel 143 of Detector A (second scan)
- rotation compensation: standard
- binning: no spectral, no spatial
- on-board flat field correction: yes
Remarks: The scans were taken before and after a study about high
velocity events (JOP015). Estimates of four parameters (continuum and line
intensity, line shift and width) were calculated on board - maybe not always
successful - and transmitted instead of the full spectral resolution.
O IV 1407.3 (174 000 K) + O III 703.8 (91 000 K)

continuum and line intensity, line shift and width
Si IV 1393.7 (63 000 K)

continuum and line intensity, line shift and width
He I 584.3 (20 000 K)

continuum and line intensity, line shift and width
