The Sun in Sulfur VI, observed by SUMER 12./13.May.96

The Sun seen in the emission line of S VI (933 Å, transition region, 200 000 K). The picture was put together from 9256 raster images (exposure time 3 seconds each), collected in eight alternating horizontal scans across the Sun. - The study was initiated by Philippe Lemaire.
