To demonstrate the potential of the SUMER Rear Slit Camera, a series of pictures is presented here that was taken during a study coordinated with other instruments to observe UV lines above sunspots. While the campaign was running (approx. 3 hours), the RSC produced a series of five pictures. They were taken on the southern disk near the center meridian, covering a north-south extension of 120 arcsec, the same that was used for the UV study. One picture consists of a raster of 100 slits being exposed 0.206 seconds each. - The RSC observes the Sun in visible light.
