Subject: Update of SUMER Radiometry Programme

Dear colleagues,

the modification of the radiometry programme of August 1998 unfortunately
did not lead to an improvement of the situation. In the meantime, we
have studied in detail the wavelength selection for detector B in the flight
software and have written the magnification programme used in the radiometry
programme along the lines of the flight software. In terms of the relative
changes, we are discussing less than half a percent, but now the software
hopefully is consistent with the optical design and the onboard procedures.
