Subject: SUMER-SOFT: Slits for RSC

Subject: Slit use for SUMER RSC (Rear Slit Camera)

Dear colleagues,

the recommended slit for the RSC was #3. Here the straylight interference
was at a minimum. However, the determination of the slit position on the
detector is not easy, to say the least. Udo Schuehle did some tests with
slit #4 and got acceptable results. The SUMER software TL_SUMER has therefore
been updated to make a choice between slits 3 and 4 possible, when working
with the RSC.
