Since the SUMER software is now going to be going out
into the SolarSoft tree, please remember that IDL save
files are only portable if they are written with the
/xdr switch.  Otherwise files written on VMS machines
will not be readable on any other machine which runs
IDL.  Thus any save file that the SUMER software will
need to access needs to be written with that switch on.
