I learned from this failure that the tool is out of operation (maybe I should have known that before). For your information, I add here the exact changes as well: ; Emphasized operation of keyword /FWHM #### 11 September 2000 .............. ; Input: #### .............. ; fwhm_out: Detector output (input to function; use FWHM, even if you #### ; are working on the default setting!!) in mE #### ............. ; FWHM (keyword /FWHM) : FWHM in mE ; Controls only the output of the function, but not the input, which is #### ; FWHM in any case! #### With best regards, Klaus Wilhelm Appendix: _________ Subject: SUMER Line Width Correction: Con_width_funct_2.pro (Input) Dear colleagues, I have today modified the comments accompanying the "con_width_funct_2.pro" function, in order to stress even more that the line width (the output of the detector) which has to be entered into the function as input always must be in FWHM. The output of the function can be controlled by keywords to be either Doppler width or FWHM. These modifications do not change the function itself in any way. The reason for my action was that, unfortunately, a misunderstanding happened in this context, which led to wrong line widths. With best regards, Klaus Wilhelm
