From Liyun.Wang.1@gsfc.nasa.gov Tue Nov 18 16:41:06 2003 Date: Thu, 30 Jan 1997 11:26:23 -0500 From: Liyun Wang Reply-To: sumer-soft@esa.nascom.nasa.gov To: SUMER software list Subject: SUMER-SOFT: SUMER software update Hi, Based on recommendation from Klaus and Dietmar, et al., I have implemented a new mechanism in SUMER software which would mark all existing UDPs and studies as "ineffective" if they were created before a preset "UDP effective time". This UDP effective time is reset each time when we change any of global parameters or put new restrictions to the instrument's moving mechanism; when this happens, all previously exsiting (simulated and validated) UDPs and studies are required to be simulated (actually recreated) again before they can be used. From now on, in planning tool one can only load and schedule to run a study which is still effective. Non-effective studies will not appear in the study list. If you can't find your studies, it means that they have become obsolete (you can confirm this by searching with the SUMER study browser). Accordingly, I have added a new search criterian in UDP browser (XUDP) and study browser (XSTUDY) to allow search for effective UDP/study only.
