The antenna field of the SOUSY VHF Radar near Bad Lauterberg
The Max-Planck-Institut für Aeronomie has operated a large VHF
radar in the Harz mountains in Germany since 1975. The
SOUSY (SOUnding SYstem) radar can be used to probe the troposphere,
stratosphere, and mesosphere.
