May 10th - May 13th, Teistungen, Germany

The 4th meeting of the Solaire Marie-Curie European Network

The fourth network-wide meeting of the Solaire Marie-Curie European Network is going to take place in Teistungen (Germany), May 10th through 13th, 2011. The meeting will be hosted by the Solaire team at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany). The conference is open to the whole solar community and contains sessions devoted to magnetic flux emergence, connectivity between the layers in the atmosphere, reconnection, flares and coronal mass ejections. The meeting thus covers some of the most active fields in solar physics at present. The sessions will consist of invited review lectures, oral contributions and posters. No book of proceedings will be published

The conference will be preceded (on May 9th) by a meeting for the SOLAIRE network members in which the activity of the network in the past four years will be summarized.

SOLAIRE is a Research Training Network financed by the European Commission. It consists of twelve European Universities and Research Institutes and a private R&TD company. The aim of the SOLAIRE network is to carry out research through collaboration of its partners and to provide intensive training of researchers at the initial stages of their careers.
