During deployment test of the Consert Orbiter antenna it became clear that the reflector elements could fail to deploy. The elements would stick in the ‘Radial Support ring’, RO-OCN-DW-3512, Issue 1, rev A.

This ring was added to the antenna design as part of the ‘Corrective Actions’ in connection with NCR (RO-CON-MPAE-NCR-001).

The error in the design of the ring has now been identified and a new design and drawing has been made: RO-OCN-DW-3512, Issue 2, rev A (enclosed).

It was decided not to replace the ring on the STM and to perform the environment test in the current configuration.
