Animations of stellar magnetoconvection simulations

With the paper Three-dimensional simulations of near-surface convection in main-sequence stars. III. The structure of small-scale magnetic flux concentrations (accepted for publication in A&A, arXiv preprint) we publish animations of six stellar magnetoconvection simulations as online material. These animations show the evolution of the bolometric intensity, the vertical velocity (at τR=1) and the magnetic field strength (at τR=1) over a (stellar) time of about 10-15 minutes. On this page, you can download not only the six animations published with A&A but animations of all 18 magnetic simulations which are analysed in that paper.
